Salt City (until recently) was my all time favorite across the board, but this last meal I had left me with a heavy heart. What was once the king across the board, is now ranked amongst the peasants of burgerdom. The silver lining in this excercise in how to deal with disappointment was, surprisingly, Salt City’s new Fry Bar.
The most unique part of this Salt City encounter was the Fry Bar. The Fry Bar empowers you. It leaves you feeilng superior to the masses that merely accept the french fries that are carelessly given to them. The Fry Bar allows you to control your own destiny, if you rate the fries here as anything less than a 10, then it is your own fault.
The smokehouse bacon burger has been at the top of my list. I decided to mix it up and try it with some bleu cheese on top, hence the “Smokehouse Blues”. 30 seconds into this new experience, I ended up scraping all the crumbly cheese off with a disgusted face. What surprised me was that, the remaining burger known for having the bacon ground into it in a delicious manner proved to be nothing special this time.
In an act of bravery, I decided to combnine all of my favorite shake ingredients into a “Peanut Butter Chocolate Oreo Shake”. It was a monolith, a tribute, and work of art. It tasted real bad, I’ll take the blame on this one getting a 4.
The bathrooms at Salt City are marvelous, I’d almost prefer to eat in there as opposed to out in the main seating area.
